FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHEN IS THE LIBRARY OPEN?
The library is open anytime the church building is open, and it operates as a "self-help" library, i.e., books can be checked out simply by removing the green card and filling in the appropriate information. See the section on "How to Use the Library" for detailed information. If special assistance is needed, volunteer librarians are available each Tuesday morning from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The library phone number is 277-9156.
WHO CAN USE THE LIBRARY?
The library is available to all parishioners of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Non-parishioners may also check books out if they are sponsored by a parishioner or have received permission to do so from one of the librarians or a member of the church staff.
WHAT DO THOSE COLORED DOTS MEAN?
The "Dots" identify media (books, CDs, tapes, etc.) that fall into a specific category. "BLUE" dots indicate media for children, "GREEN" dots signify Foreign Language media, "YELLOW" dots are for and about Teens and "RED" dots are for books on the history of the Church of the Holy Spirit. CAN I DONATE BOOKS TO THE LIBRARY?
Donations are always welcome and may be placed in either of the two return boxes found in the library or hall foyer. Please reference the section on "Donations" for further information on how to mark them or if you wish to have any special remembrances placed within the book.
